Hi All! thanks so much for this great surprise, every day until we leave for California! What a great idea Erica !!
I have two posts because I just received the log-in information.
Sunday 14 September
a little note explaining the 'virtual shower', and note cards and artichoke salt & pepper shakers. just a sidenote that my mom is super allergic to artichokes. also recieved a 1955 guide to being a 'good wife' which Forrest found particularly interesting and me... just shaking my head at what women had to put up with back in the day. yay, women's lib! (thanks to Sher for posting a follow up, and also the hilarious post about the photos!)
I've also decided to post something about food in each post, since i love to cook and love food.
Sunday's dinner: aged sirloin steak with mushrooms, spinach and agria potato wedges with garlic and rosemary. delicious!!!
Monday 15 September
today is my super busy day, work until 5, boot camp from 5:30-6:30 and then cooking class 7-9.
i was happy to come home and find my next day of goodies!
i lovely fill-in-the-blank from my dear friend Carrie and some random items; a vegetable scrubber and a towel from a place we once visited in Iceland! I wonder if part of this game is to figure out who sent what?
also shown below is a photo of tonight's cooking class, paella. turned out ok, although i was one of the last ones to leave cooking class tonight because my mussels were extra strong and had a hard time opening. i would probably add more of some kind of spice next time i make it, any suggestions?
